HomeSchoolers’ Chess Club This is a free Chess Club especially designed for HomeSchooler families. The Chess Coach, Ms. Daa, is the 3rd highest ranked woman chess player in Minnesota. She’s been teaching and coaching chess for over 20 years. Each meeting is filled with lots of chess activities and includes skill and age appropriate chess lessons. Parent participation is expected.

  • WHO: ages 4-17 and their parent
  • WHAT: HomeSchoolers’ Chess Club
  • WHERE: Golden Valley Library, 830 Winnetka Ave. N., Golden Valley MN
  • WHEN: noon-2 PM, Wednesdays through April 30th, 2008
  • WHY: What the kids need to know: Chess is fun! What the parents need to know: Chess enhances a variety of intellectual and academic skills.
  • HOW: Register through the Hennepin County Library System, either online or on your first day of attendance
