Annual Conference

The Annual Conference is our biggest event of the year. We bring in nationally-known speakers, present interesting and informative workshops, and fill the hall with vendors that always seem to have what you’re looking for!

Countdown!

The 2009 MHA Annual Conference is fast approaching. We have a wonderful conference in the works, so mark your calendar now for Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the New Brighton Family Service Center. It’s conveniently located near the junction of I-35W and I-694 (click here for printer-friendly directions). It is also the home of the Eagle’s Nest Indoor Playground, which can be helpful if you wish to plan activities for your children.

Join us for a day of exciting workshops and resources designed to meet the needs of homeschoolers. The all-day Conference offers something for everyone - “getting started” workshops, panel sessions, exhibitor displays and yes, even more than we can list here!

Our keynote speaker, Diane Flynn Keith, will grace us with her humor and insight. Diane produces Homefires.com, an online journal and resource center for homeschool families. She is the author of Carschooling: Over 350 Entertaining Games & Activities To Turn Travel Time Into Learning Time. She is also the publisher of ClickSchooling - a free daily e-service that provides recommendations for great educational websites on the Net. And after all this, she still finds time to Twitter!

Conference Brochure and Schedule

Our complete Conference Brochure and Schedule is currently being prepared and will be available for downloading from this page when it is ready. When the Brochure is posted, you’ll be able to print out the Registration Form and reserve your place at MHA’s 2009 Annual Conference. And while you don’t have to be an MHA member to attend, admission is discounted for our members!

Workshop Proposals

We welcome your knowledge and expertise, and urge you to consider sharing them with your fellow homeschoolers. We are accepting conference workshop proposals for the 2009 MHA Annual Conference. If you have a workshop you’d like to offer, please print a copy of our MHA Workshop Proposal Form (PDF), fill it out and mail it to our Workshop Coordinator at the address provided on the form. If you have ideas about workshops, panels or other presentations you would like to see offered at the conference, please let us know by emailing MHA at mha@homeschoolers.org. Thank you!

Exhibitor Information

If you wish to be an exhibitor at the 2009 MHA Conference, please print a copy of the 2009 Exhibitor Form (PDF), fill it out and mail it with your check to our Exhibitor Coordinator at the address provided on the form.
